Hey Lisa- Here is my two cents.
I have never really liked exercising. I do it because I know I have to. After not getting real results, I decided to try Lisa to see what I could do to make it more fun and so see what I was doing wrong. Well, I have discovered that exercise is fun. In fact that is Lisa’s favorite word…FUN! Sometimes you need to be leery of it when she says it, but you know in the end you will really appreciate her version of fun. Especially after putting on a pair of pants and realizing you need a belt for the first time. Lisa is very aware of what it takes to break habits and to make new ones. The best thing that I have done for myself is hire Lisa. She is easy going, likable, energetic and won’t make you feel horrible if your sit-ups are sad. Jill, March 2013

My name is Larry. I am 70 and I have Parkinson’s plus some cardiac issues. My family kept encouraging me to get a personal trainer, but I really didn’t want to spend money. (Yes, that was stupid.)
My wife had been a Y member for years, so she added me to the membership, and we met Lisa and talked to her about training.
We set up a twice a week training session, and I was very happy how Lisa adapted the exercises for me. I immediately felt my strength improving.
However, the turning point was around Labor Day of 2019. I flew to visit my son in Washington, DC and we took an Amtrak to visit my daughter in Connecticut. However, when I flew back home, I was not feeling well. My wife took me to the doctor the next day and they didn’t like how I looked and immediately they sent me to ER. Unfortunately, I had a viral pneumonia and bronchitis. Gratefully, we caught it early, but I still had to spend 5 days in the hospital.
Because I was so weak, I was immediately classified a “fall” patient, and I had one of those buzzers on the bed that went off if I moved. The doctor wanted PT to evaluate me, because of their concern. On day 2, the physical therapist came to visit me for an evaluation. He was pleasantly surprised with my strength! Because of the core strength I had gained working with Lisa, the therapist took me off the fall risk and I was able to get out of bed and walk on my own. If it hadn’t been for Lisa, I would have been released to a rehab facility.
Thank you very, very much Lisa!

I began training with Lisa about two years ago. After struggling too long to lose and maintain weight loss, I felt stuck. When my Doctor recommended heart medication, I knew it was time to get some help. Lisa gave me the structure needed to achieve my goal. Her enthusiasm was motivating. She helped me to focus on the process.
After consistent private training, I added group once a week. The socialization and support was great. I have lost a considerable amount of weight, dropping two sizes, and avoided the need for medication.
I keep going because it works!
